Adding a promotional code is easy; there are only a few fields to be filled in.

v  Promo Code:  This is the actual code the customer will type into the ShopKart during the checkout process.

v  Promo Name: This should be a descriptive name that helps you remember the campaign or purpose of the promotion.

v  Discount Type: you must select one of the 2 types of discount.

Ø  Percentage: This option will give the customer a percentage credit based on the entire order total. 

Note: Does not include shipping or taxes.

Ø  Dollar amount:  This is a flat dollar amount off of the order no matter what the order cost is. If the order total is less than the total then $0.00 will be charge plus shipping cost.

v  Percent/Dollar:  this is where you enter the percentage discount or the flat dollar amount. 

v  (Percentage Example: Enter 5% as .05)

v  Exp. Date: This is the date the promo code will expire.  It will be in the format of…YYYY-MM-DD
