v  Status—a product can be set to the following 4 statuses.  Sometimes the status is set by the Shop Kart when a supplier update is processed.  See Supplier Management Interface

Ø  Active

Ø  Inactive

Ø  Inactive (because product is) Discontinued

Ø  Inactive (because the product is) Newly Imported

v  Supplier—all current suppliers are listed and may be selected; Change or select the corresponding supplier for the product.

v  Product Name—this should be a short descriptive name that represents the product.

v  Product Description—Us the WYSIWYG editor to create a long description of the product. Try to incorporate some of the Meta keywords and/or phrases.  Be sure not to get wordy or repeat word just to attempt to raise the SEO.  Doing so will actually lower your SEO and it will be unappealing to your customer; with whom you are trying to attain a purchase from.

v  See A: The calculation system expects the default attribute price to be part of the product cost and will only apply the difference between default and the option selected. Thus, if all are the same amount the price does not increase.  See Working with Attribute Group Options

Option 1: Create an attribute option "None" $0.00 and make it the default the attribute.

Option 2: Create an attribute option "Select Option" $0.00 and make it the default the attribute.

Option 3: If these are all the options, just added the .75 cent to the product cost and make attribute cost at $0.00.

v  Minimum Order Quantity—this allows you to say I want the customer to buy at least so many of this.  i.e., I want to sell at least 2 of these products = a minimum order quantity of 2.

Supplemental— Examples:

1.     If the increment is set to five and quantity is set to 2… what is the result?  They have to buy at least 2 but they have to buy in increments of 5 to meet both criteria they would have to by at least 5.

2.     Let’s reverse this, increment set to 2 and minimum quantity of 5… what do you think?  Since they have to buy at least 5 and they can only buy it sets of 2.  6 would be the minimum number they would have to purchase.
