Be sure to set to no if you want your customer to be able to purchase online.  If set to yes all product found under this category will not have the ability of adding the products to cart.  We have customer who only want the products and pricing displayed as an online catalog this setting allow you to turn off the shop cart.

Please Note:  You must set every category and subcategory to yes to prevent any product from being added to the shop cart.
