If this product should use Product Kits, then you can build the kit from the kit groupings (See Kit Groupings) you have created. Simply add which kit grouping should apply to this product from the pull-down list at the bottom of the Maintain Product Screen as shown below:

 

 

You may add as many kit groupings as you need.  For instance, on a plaque, you might add Plaque Wood and Plaque Plate – For a trophy, you might have a kit group of figure, another one for column, another one for base and yet another for trim. 

 

The price adjustment pull-down controls how pricing will occur if a different kit component is selected from the initial option.  For instance, if a more expensive figure is chosen you may want it to increase the price of the line item.  So the price adjustment option allows you to specify how this will work. There are three choices:

 

v  No Adjustment: – No price adjustment will occur even if the new component selected is more expensive

 

v  Adjust price up only: – If the new component selected is more expensive than the initial component then the price of the trophy will increase, however if the new component selected is cheaper, no adjustment will occur.

 

v  Adjust price down only: – if the new component is cheaper than lower the price of the trophy to compensate of the less expensive option chosen
