To ship products, deliver products, or simply put items on the shelf for pickup, you need to setup shipping methods that will cause BizWizard Order Manager™ to ask or continue in the proper manner, when you trigger a job as being completed.
To setup shipping methods, click on the Configuration Menu System and then Shipping Methods icon:
Then the Work with Shipping Method window will pop up:
In this window there are several methods that are setup already. You can click on a record and delete it by clicking on the Delete Button.
You may also want to edit a record. To edit a record simply double click on the entry you want to edit and the Maintain Shipping Method window will open:
On the Maintain Shipping Method window there are several areas that need to be filled in. The following explains each area
v
General
Ledger Category – The first drop down is where
you will select the General Ledger Category that this method belongs to. If
money is collected, it will be assigned to the proper category. The second drop down list is the sub-category
to allow you to further “drill-down” information on what delivery method was being
used (See General Ledger Categories).
v
Standard
Shipping Charges – Order Manager does not currently
link up with shipping company live rates.
You can, however, enter simple standard shipping charges by entering a
percentage of the product cost to figure your estimated shipping
charges.
Ø
Shipping Percentage – Enter a percentage # that you
want to charge for shipping. Example: If
the order sub-total comes to $150 and
the Percentage entered is 10% the default shipping charge for this order would
be $15
Ø
Minimum
Shipping Rate
– Enter the minimum shipping charge you want to charge
v
Residential
Shipping Additional Surcharge – Usually delivery
companies charge an extra charge for delivery to residential addresses.
Ø
Percentage
Surcharge – If the delivery address is set as a residential address an
additional percentage would be added to the shipping cost
Ø
Minimum
Shipping Surcharge – Enter a minimum $ surcharge to
deliver to residential addresses
v
Shipping Method Validation – This will cause Order
Manager to create the next appropriate step when triggering a job complete
Ø
Shipping Address Required? – If you are shipping
the product via a delivery company, check this box to
cause Order Manager to require you enter a shipping address for the order.
ü
Requires
Customer Shipper Number – If your method
of shipping is going to a freight collect customer (where the shipping charge
is billed to the receiving party’s shipper number) it will require Order
Manager to ask for a shipper # by check marking this box
Ø
Delivery
Information Required – If you are delivering this product, it will cause Order manager
to enter delivery information for the order by check marking this box
Ø
Pickup
Information Required – If this product is to be picked up, Order Manager will ask for
the name of the person picking up the product when the job is triggered as being picked up.
v Shipping Notification E-Mail text – In this block you can enter text that will be displayed when an e-mail notification goes to your customer when an order has been shipped.
