A Customer account may have as many alternate shipping addresses as necessary.  Alternate shipping addresses may be additional locations where this customer has product shipped to.  Alternate shipping addresses appear in the pull-down list in the Maintain Shipping Details (See Ship-To Address) screen when specifying a shipping address to ship to for an order.
